City Guide: San Francisco

Eat

Start the day at Tartine Manufactory in the Mission for homemade breads and coffee.

For lunch, we love Cotogna. Have Crab Tagliatelle outside for a splash of Portofino in SF.

After work, splurge at Leo’s Oyster Bar. The Long Island Iced Tea kills any market anxieties.

Have Dinner at Mission Chinese for the most numbingly spicy Chinese food in the city, just right for ending the night at the secret bar, the Hideout.

See

Grab a picnic at Bi-Rite before getting lost in Golden Gate Park, from the de Young Museum to the Botanical Gardens, ending at the Japanese Tea Garden.

Enter the Presidio from Lyon Street Steps. Take in San Francisco’s signature eucalyptus scent and peeks of the Golden Gate Bridge, and end with a Labyrinth walk at Lands End.

Rent an e-bike and head over the bridge through Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach.

Start the week the SF way with a 6am Monday morning surf lesson on Ocean Beach.

Shop

Walk Sacramento Street between Spruce and Baker, stopping at home stores St. Frank, Found by Maja, March, Future Perfect, and Hudson Grace.

After lunch at Cotogna, explore Jackson Square, from Lan Jaenicke to APC, Isabel Marant, and Anine Bing.

Sleep

The Battery is a Ken Fulk designed hotel and social club, near our office. Eavesdrop and you’re bound to overhear a conversation about Silicon Valley’s next big fundraise or IPO.

Hotel Drisco is a Pacific Heights classic.

At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, Cavallo Point offers a different view of the city.
