When we first met the Stotles team in 2021, one thing was immediately clear: public procurement, a $13 trillion global market, was a broken system hiding in plain sight. Fragmented portals, clunky workflows, and opaque processes meant businesses were leaving billions in revenue on the table simply because the machinery of government buying was too complex to navigate.
We invested in Stotles’ Seed round in 2022 because we believed in their ambition to transform how the private sector engages with the government. Today, we’re thrilled to double down, co-leading their $13M Series A alongside Acton Capital and returning investors including Speedinvest and Seedcamp.

Why We First Invested
Stotles was born from firsthand experience. Founders John Witt, Carsten Schaltz, and Taj Kamranpour deeply understood the pain points businesses face when selling into the government, so they set out to build the solution they wished existed. From the start, they stood out not just for their domain knowledge but for their execution and product intensity.
In a market filled with point solutions, Stotles was the first to propose something more ambitious: a full-stack platform purpose-built for public sector growth. They weren’t just improving procurement, they were reimagining it.
What’s Changed Since Then
In the last two years, several forces have coalesced to make Stotles’ vision more urgent and more valuable:
- Governments are modernizing: From local councils to federal departments, there’s a growing appetite for transparency, efficiency, and digital-first systems. Public buyers are behaving more like commercial ones, and they expect suppliers to do the same.
- Budgets are tightening: In a climate of fiscal scrutiny, both buyers and suppliers are under pressure to do more with less. That means smarter, faster procurement is a top priority.
- Public-private collaboration is expanding: Whether it’s health, climate, defense, or infrastructure, many of the world’s biggest challenges require coordinated responses between the state and the market.
How Stotles Has Grown
What began as a tender-tracking tool has become an end-to-end tool for selling to the government. Stotles now helps commercial teams:
- Discover high-fit opportunities
- Automate research and bid workflows
- Navigate complex public-sector processes with AI-powered insights
- Collaborate across sales, strategy, and delivery teams
More than 120 companies, including Salesforce, Zoom, Snowflake, and Amazon, rely on Stotles to manage their public sector pipelines. For many teams, it’s become a mission-critical platform.
Why We’re More Excited Than Ever
Stotles sits at a unique inflection point: a massive, underserved market that’s finally ready for change, and a product that’s proven it can lead that transformation.
Their platform doesn’t just make selling to the government easier, it helps unlock a more efficient, transparent, and equitable public sector. In a time when trust in government is fraying, and global problems require coordinated action, that’s not just a business opportunity, it’s a societal one.
We believe public procurement is one of the largest untapped software markets in the world. And we believe Stotles is the company to lead it.
